Dale has been a carhop, breakfast cook, fast food restaurant manager, commodity broker, stock broker, software tester, yoga instructor, and is currently a manager of a quality assurance team in the healthcare business. Since he read “Book of Three” by Lloyd Alexander and the other four books in the Taran the Wanderer series he has been in love with fantasy fiction. Tolkien, Burroughs, Howard, Moorcock, Brooks, and Eddings were his earliest favorites. In 1995 he picked up the Writers of the Future (WotF) XI anthology and since then knew he wanted to write fantasy fiction as well. Career, family, and life seemed to delay his attempts at writing an epic fantasy to make those early authors proud. He still loves fantasy and authors like Farland, Sanderson, Jordan, Goodkind, Erickson, as well as newcomers like Fahnestock. His dream is to be published in the WotF anthology and publish the multitude of novels floating around his imagination.
He submitted his first short story to the Writers of the Future contest in March of 2018. He’s still a fan of fantasy fiction but will dabble in some science fiction as well. He is currently working on a couple of novels. One is epic fantasy in a world called Dhara and the other is a supernatural thriller. (At least he thinks that is what it will turn out to be!)
